Kathmandu. The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation has started discussions with the federal, provincial and local governments on the issue of cooperatives.

The fifth meeting of the thematic committee (cooperatives) formed by the Ministry as per the Clause 22 (1) of the Federation, Province and Local Level (Coordination and Interrelations) Act, 2077 has begun.

According to the Ministry, the meeting is discussing the management of problematic cooperatives, measures to ensure the return of savings to the savers and necessary reforms in the Cooperative Act.

Ministers looking after cooperatives from all seven provinces were present in the meeting.
