Kathmandu. The government has fixed the user fee for the vehicles using the Nagdhunga tunnel way.
Issuing a notice in the Nepal Gazette today, the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport fixed the vehicle fare as per the classification of vehicles.
As per the decision of the Council of Ministers, the government has imposed the fee in exercise of the powers given by the sub-section (1) of Section 6 of the Road Board Act, 2058.
In the first class, cars, vans, pick-ups, tractors, micro buses and other light vehicles have to pay Rs 65 for entering Kathmandu and Rs 60 for exiting Kathmandu.
The second category consists of minibuses and mini-tripper trucks. These vehicles have to pay Rs 115 to enter Kathmandu and Rs 80 for exiting Kathmandu.
Third class buses and trucks with single rear axle have to pay Rs 260 for entering Kathmandu and Rs 200 for exiting Kathmandu.
Similarly, in the fourth class, multi-axle trucks and heavy equipment have to pay Rs 600 for entering Kathmandu and Rs 250 for leaving Kathmandu.
