Kathmandu. Weather has become cloudy throughout the country at present due to influence of westerly low pressure system and local winds.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is taking place at some places of Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province, and at some places of Koshi Province and Karnali Province and Sudurpaschim Province.

The weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous region of the country including Koshi Province towards the afternoon while it will be partly cloudy in the rest of the country. Light rain or snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the hilly and mountainous region of the country including Koshi Province and at some places of the Madhes Province.

Similarly, the weather will be generally cloudy in the mountainous region of the country including Koshi Province while it will be partly cloudy in the rest of the hilly region and mainly fair in the Tarai region tonight. Light rain or snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the hilly and mountainous region of Koshi Province and Gandaki Province and at one or two places of the mountainous region.

The Division has urged the general public in the areas prone to rain and snowfall and the vehicles operating in these areas to stay alert.
