The road section at Daunne section of Binayi Triveni rural municipality-2 in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) along the East-West Highway has been completely obstructed due to mud and slippery conditions.
Superintendent of Police (SP) at the District Police Office, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East), Yubaraj Khadka informed vehicular movement has been disrupted as the road near Ghiyakhola and Bishwakarma Temple of Daunne has become muddy and slippery following the rainfall. The road has become muddy and slippery due to the rain since Wednesday afternoon, causing traffic jam.
“It has been difficult for vehicles to slip on the uphill slope of Daunne due to incessant rain since yesterday afternoon”, he said, adding, “Cargo vehicles have been stopped at Arunkhola area for now”. ”
According to the Narayangadh-Butwal Road Project, efforts are being made to repair the road section by laying gravel after it was affected by heavy rains. The Butwal-Narayangadh road section has been obstructed even during normal rainy season due to the delay in the construction of the road section.
