Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has arrested Mahendra KC, proprietor of Unity Life International, who is absconding on the charge of fraud. The bureau team arrested him from Samakhusi.
The Supreme Court on April 15, 2002 slapped a fine of Rs 25,000 and sentenced him to two years and six months imprisonment. He had been absconding since then.
The Bureau today arrested Praveen Kumar Mahato, 31, proprietor of Ankush Suppliers and Traders, from Kuleshwor who was slapped a fine of Rs 44 million 87 thousand 957 and a one-year jail term on the charge of revenue leakage. They have been presented before the Lalitpur District Court for the execution of court verdict, said Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shiva Kumar Shrestha.
