Kathmandu. The government has directed the government to set up breastfeeding and child care rooms at airports across the country, including Tribhuvan International Airport, within 24 hours.
The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has also directed the operation of the breastfeeding and child care rooms at the airport to ensure cleanliness, safety and confidentiality, and to operate primary care rooms for sick and special needs passengers.
Directives have also been issued for maintaining cleanliness at airports in conformity with international standard, maintaining log book system of daily sanitation and abiding by the health standards determined by World Health Organization and International Civil Aviation Organization. Instructions have also been given to arrange free sanitary pads for women passengers in the toilets.
Instructions have been issued to disseminate information to the Ministry by implementing the directives given by the Ministry. Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Mukunda Prasad Niraula, has issued a directive to inform the information officer of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
