Kathmandu. The Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection has taken action against seven different industries and firms and issued various directives.

A team from the Department monitored these industries and firms and took necessary directives and action as per the Consumer Protection Act, 2075 and Consumer Protection Regulations, 2076.

The court imposed a fine of Rs 205,000 on Crystal Store based in Goldhunga of Tarkeshwor-5, Rs 20,000 on Mobile Kitchen based in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-31, New Baneshwor and Green Buds Bakery Café Pvt Ltd at Sinamangal, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-9.

Likewise, the general directive has been issued to canteen at Sumeru Hospital premises at Pulchowk of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Kist Cafeteria at Mahalaxmi Municipality-1, Lalitpur, G&B Cafe at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-29, Singha Durbar, Group Gujeshwari Hotel Pvt Ltd (branch).
