The deadline for applying for real estate companies has been extended

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Department of Land Management and Archive has extended the deadline for applying for firms, companies or organizations to apply for real estate transactions.

The department has extended the deadline for submission of applications till December 12. Prior to this, the Department had published a notice on September 29 and had issued a public call for applications. According to the provision made in the Land Revenue Act, 2034 BS, the government had published a notice in the gazette and also specified the scope of work in the case of real estate companies. In the first phase, the Department had defined metropolitan cities and sub-metropolitan cities as working areas.

Firms, companies or organizations interested in making a turnover of more than Rs 3 crore at a time could apply.TAG_OPEN_div_13 It is said that the real estate business is being managed with the objective of making it transparent, dignified and scientific.

TAG_OPEN_div_11 The department has said that the deadline for applications has been extended with effect from last Friday. The Department has forwarded the process for company registration in six metropolitan cities and 11 sub-metropolitan cities with the objective of systematizing real estate transactions in the first phase. According to the notice published earlier, the deadline has been extended due to a small number of applications.

According to the department, revenue worth Rs TAG_OPEN_div_9 2.74 billion was collected from real estate transactions in the last November. Likewise, service tax stood at Rs 213.44 million, registration tax at Rs 1.50 billion and Rs 997,844,392 from the previous collection.
