Kathmandu. Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Kulman Ghising, has said that the country would move towards the path of prosperity once corruption is eliminated.
In his address to a gathering organized by the Ujyalo Nepal Party here today, he said good governance was the major basis for prosperity.
“It doesn’t take long for Nepal to become prosperous. Good governance is the basis of prosperity, the Genji movement has raised the issue of a corruption-free country. If the country is free of corruption, it will move towards prosperity,” he said. Stressing on the need for the right character to come to active politics, he said the time has come to choose the right party and leadership.
Stating that public trust is most important in politics, Minister Ghising argued that the frustration and anger of the past has exploded in the form of the Zenji movement. He clarified that the incumbent government was focused on institutionalizing the changes taken after the Genji movement and taking the country to the forward direction.
“The upcoming election will institutionalize Gengy change. Now the change should be led by new and alternative personalities, organizations and parties,” he said, “For this, all alternative forces should come together as per the aspiration of the general public.” In any case, we should unite and take the change to a consequential situation. ”
Former Minister Sumana Shrestha pointed out that the old political parties could dominate through the election due to the lack of alternative forces. Likewise, Ujjyalo Nepal Party leader Reema Bishwakarma said that the party was looking for a leadership that can give results to the country and the people.
