Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Two matches are taking place today under the second edition of Nepal Premier League (NPL).

In the first match to be held at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Stadium, Sudurpaschim Royals will take on Biratnagar Kings at 11:15 am while Chitwan Rhinos will take on Pokhara Avengers at 3:30 pm.

There will be no pressure on Far-West as it has reached the first qualifier with 12 points from six matches. Biratnagar, which is secure in the playoff with eight points, needs today’s win to play the first qualifier.

If Biratnagar wins with a good run rate, it will play in the first qualifier along with Sudurpaschim. Otherwise, it will play an eliminator with Lumbini Lions. In the first qualifier, Sudurpaschim and Kathmandu Gorkhas will face each other.

Chitwan and Pokhara, who have already been eliminated from the playoff race, will only have a prestige battle in the afternoon match. Both teams have four points ÷from six games.
