Kathmandu. Goods worth hundreds of thousands of rupees have been stolen from different places in Kathmandu and Lalitpur.
According to police, gold ornaments worth Rs 57 lakh were stolen from different places in Kathmandu’s Tarakeshwor Municipality, Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Mahalaxmi Municipality of Lalitpur.
According to the police, gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 740,000 were stolen from the room of Dharma Ratna Shahi in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-15, Rs 291,000 from the room of Sunita Bajgai at Nepaltar of Tarakeshwor municipality-11, Rs 377,000 from the house of Jayaram Adhikari in Kavresti, and a laptop and gold ornaments from the room of Dharma Ratna Shahi of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-15.
According to police, goods worth Rs 404,000 were stolen from the room of Janendra Lal Karna at Bhairav Tole of Mahalaxmi municipality-1 and Rs 39.47 lakh from Baburam Pandey’s room near Krishna Mandir Chowk. Police said they are searching for the culprits and further investigation into the matter.
