Inquiry Commission summons former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak for statement

Kathmandu. The inquiry commission formed by the government has summoned the then Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak to record his statement. The Commission of Inquiry, set up to investigate the events of the Jenji movement, wrote a letter to the writer on Tuesday, asking him to appear in the statement.

The writer was the Home Minister during the Jenji movement on September 23 and 24. There are voices that the writer should be held accountable as he is the Home Minister for the human casualties caused during the Genji movement. He resigned on the evening of September 23.
