Kathmandu. The Department of Passport is to issue passports within two working days.

The Department has said that 3 lakh 96 thousand passports will be provided to the needy immediately after the supply is completed.

According to the Department, it was earlier decided to provide seven lakh passport books for the interim period.

With the supply of passport booklets, the department has supplied passports in full capacity. Along with the supply of passport booklets, the Department will personalize the passport in full capacity and provide it to those who have applied from the district, area administration office and Nepali mission abroad.

Those who have applied till December 30 will be issued new passports by December 29 and those who have applied after that will be provided with new passports, according to the department.

The Department has made it clear that the passport book will now be distributed smoothly due to the availability of passport books for the interim period.
