Arghakhanchi. A person died and 16 others were injured when a jeep carrying students of local Janajagriti Secondary School met with an accident at Bhumikasthan Municipality this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Rudra Bahadur Budha Magar, 45, of Bhumikasthan-10, Dhanchaur when the jeep (Lu 2 Cha 5179) en route to Nuwakot from Bhumikasthan municipality-10 met with an accident near Chhirling rivulet of the same municipality-7.

The injured are undergoing treatment at Arghakhanchi Hospital. The jeep met with an accident when the jeep met with an accident while students were participating in the municipality-level President Running Shield competition organized by Bhumikasthan municipality from today.

All the matches under the tournament have been postponed following the accident, according to the municipality.
