Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and Balen sign 7-point agreement if they win the election

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Sah (Balen) have signed a 7-point agreement. As per the agreement, they will collaborate with a common agenda and programme in the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives and if they win the election, Balen Shah will be proposed as the Prime Minister.

Good governance, control of corruption, social justice, socio-economic equality, strengthening of democratic practices and creation of alternative political forces have been made the main basis of the agreement.TAG_OPEN_p_5 The agreement states that both sides are committed to establish a new political culture by addressing the aspirations of the citizens who are disappointed with the existing political system.

As per the agreement, the principles, leadership and election symbol of the RSP will remain unchanged while Balen Sah will be the common prime ministerial candidate.TAG_OPEN_p_4 Rabi Lamichhane will be the central president of the Rastriya Samajwadi Party and Balen Sah will be the party’s leader and candidate for the prime minister.

} The party’s organizational structure will be strengthened and broadened for the implementation of the agreement, and the responsibility will be given to the qualified, inclusive and public image person. Necessary process will be completed at the Election Commission to give legal and official recognition to the agreement.
