Kathmandu. The Election Commission (EC) has endorsed the election code of conduct-2082 for the upcoming election to the House of Representatives.
According to the EC, preparations are being made to implement the code of conduct from the third week of January. In order to make the election free, fear-free, dignified and credible, the EC has prepared the new code of conduct by making some points in the election code of conduct with revision like in the past. The EC has accepted the recommendations received in the draft code of conduct.
According to EC Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, the code of conduct would be applicable to the government of Nepal and ministers, ministers of the provincial and provincial governments, constitutional bodies and office-bearers, the government of Nepal or provincial government bodies and their office-bearers, local executive and its members, and employees of the federal, province and local levels.
The code of conduct will be enforced to the government of Nepal and its ministers, ministers of the provincial government, constitutional bodies and office-bearers, bodies of the Government of Nepal or provincial governments, their office-bearers, local executive and its members, employees of the federal, province and local levels.
The code of conduct issued by the EC will also apply to the security bodies, security personnel and employees, offices and employees of government, semi-government and public organisations, political parties and sister organisations, candidates and related persons, polling representatives and counting agents of political parties and candidates, and any person holding public posts. Such code of conduct is issued before every election in order to maintain fairness, fairness, transparency and fear-free environment.
