Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that no political party except the CPN-UML and the Nepali Congress could form a government.
Addressing a seminar on ‘Message of the 11th National General Convention of the CPN (UML) and Political Way Out’ organized by the Madan-Ashrit Memorial Foundation here today, former Prime Minister Oli said that none other than the CPN-UML and the Nepali Congress would be able to form the government even if the prime minister’s post was shared through consensus in recent days.
“It is ridiculous to appoint some as prime minister and some as party chairpersons. I thought that the person who was rumored to be the Prime Minister would be a bit dumb, but it was ridiculous to see the decision. Chairman Oli said, “He has been called the prime minister by handing over the responsibility of one party president to another, vice-chairman to another and party to another.” It’s like the Prime Minister when he set fire to Singha Durbar in August. Wherever he is found, the Prime Minister is not divided. ’’
Stating that the water from a pot cannot turn into an ocean and the alliance of sheep and goats does not make any difference to Singh, he said that parties like UML and Congress are big and old democratic forces.
He said that the parliament which was dissolved unconstitutionally should be reinstated as there was no environment conducive for holding elections. He said that the constitution has been put in crisis by dissolving the parliament as it is the place to form and remove the government. Chairman Oli also stressed that the Supreme Court should give justice on the reinstatement of the parliament at the earliest.
