Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has collected Rs 4.21 billion revenue till December 23 of the current fiscal year.
Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol said that the KMC has received Rs 2.67 billion towards internal income, Rs 779.98 million from revenue sharing and Rs 753.99 million as conditional grant from the federal and provincial governments.
According to her, the total income has increased by 27.86 percent and the internal income has increased by 26.44 percent.
Dangol said that the metropolis has set a target of earning Rs 15.11 billion in the current fiscal year out of which Rs 10.12 billion will be internal income.
Similarly, the government has set a target to get Rs 4.04 billion from the government of Nepal and the provincial governments through conditional, equalization and revenue sharing.
Coordinator of KMC Public Accounts Committee, Gayatri Pudasaini, said that the 18th executive meeting of KMC has already proposed to the Office of the Auditor General to recommend for conducting regular audit of Rs 263.951 million.
Of the arrears that are yet to be settled for the fiscal year 2073/74 to 2080/081, 22 crore 75 lakh 51 thousand 723 are to be regularized as per the rules and 36.4 million for the audit is receivable, she said.
