Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Most of the places of the Tarai region will witness fog and mist in the afternoon today as there is partial influence of the Westerly wind throughout the country at present, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said.

At present, most of the places in the Terai are covered with fog. According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, there will be generally cloudy in Karnali, Sudurpaschim and Sudurpaschim provinces and partly cloudy in the rest of the hilly and mountainous regions.

Similarly, there are chances of light rain or snowfall at one or two places of the high hilly and mountainous region of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Foggy weather will prevail in some places of Tarai region tonight. According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, there will be partly cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions along with the Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Light rain or snowfall is likely to occur at one or two places of the high hilly and mountainous region of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has warned that daily life, health and road transport will be partially affected due to the impact of fog in the Tarai region. The Division has urged the public to adopt necessary precaution and take stock of the updated weather information to be issued daily.
