Passengers and crew members of Buddha Air plane crashed at Bhadrapur Airport

Kathmandu. An aircraft of Buddha Air skidded off the runway while landing at Bhadrapur Airport on Monday.

There were 51 passengers and four crew members on board. Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajan Limbu, chief of District Police Office, Jhapa, said that all of them were rescued safely. According to him, the aircraft entered the drain about 180 meters out of the runway.

An ATR-72 aircraft with call sign 901 (N-MF) from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur skidded off the runway while landing at Bhadrapur Airport. The aircraft overran while landing and reached the grassland.

The flight that took off from Kathmandu at 7.45 pm today was about to land in Bhadrapur at 9.45 pm.

According to Buddha Air, it is preparing to send a technical and relief team from Kathmandu to another Jahal.
