Kathmandu. The Department of Commerce, Supply and Consumer Protection has carried out monitoring and inspection at 17 different firms in Kathmandu and Lalitpur.

The department has slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on Yubaraj Trade and Suppliers based in Gairigaun, Kathmandu.

The Department has taken action against the offender as per Section 15 and Section 38 (d) of the Consumer Protection Act, 2075.

The department has taken directive action against 16 other firms. The Department has been continuously monitoring and inspecting the market with the participation of local administration and people’s representatives to maintain cleanliness.
