Kathmandu. The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), as per the decision of the government, has decided to provide employment to the family members of the martyrs of the Gen-G movement of September 7 and 24.
A meeting of the board held on Tuesday decided to provide employment to 27 families of martyrs.
A total of 27 members of the Jenji martyr’s family had applied for employment. It has been decided to appoint a contract for a maximum of three levels of posts in the office of the Authority on the basis of his or her educational qualification.
Ghising said that the decision to provide employment to 27 people was made based on the agreement reached between the government and representatives of the Genji movement, the working procedure of the assistance approved by the cabinet and the applications of the family members of martyrs.
According to the Work Procedure, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology will provide free education to the injured or disabled persons or the family members of the martyrs as per the prevailing law and arrangements related to employment, labor, employment and social security, energy, water resources and irrigation, urban development, drinking water, physical infrastructure and transport, culture, tourism and civil aviation, youth and sports and industry, Necessary works will be carried out by the thematic ministries including commerce and supplies. The government had declared 45 people who died during the agitation as martyrs.
