Kathmandu. Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that the Zenji movement was triggered because the Nepali people were angry seeing the rule of Nepo Babies.

He said this at a special general convention held at Bhrikutimandap in the capital. He said that the present situation would not have arisen if the demands, aspirations and needs of the Nepali people had been understood and seen. He said that all those who made mistakes during the Genji movement should be brought to book.

Nagarik said that the party leaders had suggested reforms after the agitation that took place on September 7 and 24. He further said that many members were upset with the issues of alliance with one party in the election, forming the government in alliance with another party and not wanting to quit the government.

He said that there are no slaves and servants in the Congress party. He claimed that the leaders above should bow down and salute those who cannot look down on the party members and those who sit below. He said that this struggle is related to how to run the party.
