NC special general convention: Registration of representatives begins this morning

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU — The process of registering the names of the representatives for the special general convention that began on Sunday under the leadership of the Nepali Congress general secretaries has begun this morning.

A total of 2,662 representatives registered their names in the general convention that kicked off on Sunday.

Likewise, 425 candidates from Koshi province, 446 from Madhes province, 432 from Bagmati province, 296 from Gandaki province, 398 from Lumbini province, 134 from Karnali province, 148 from Sudurpaschim province, 178 from Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur state and 195 from sister and well-wishers and public relations committees registered their names on Sunday.

The group advocating the NC Special General Convention had set up eight different stalls for the registration of names. Coordinator of the Special General Convention District Region, ‘Focal Person’ Coordination Committee, Yubaraj Pandey, said that the name registration has started from 8.30 am today. He said that the registration of names has been continued today for the convenience of the representatives who missed the registration yesterday. The registration will continue till 11:00 am, Pandey said. The closed session of the group supporting the special general convention of the Nepali Congress will be held today.

According to the organizers, the closed session was scheduled to start from 8:00 am but due to technical reasons, the closed session was postponed for some time.
