Kathmandu. The closed session of the second special general convention of the Nepali Congress has formed a five-member election committee under the chairmanship of senior advocate Sitaram KC.

Senior advocate Ashok Pokharel, advocate Gokarna Banjade, RC Bimal Poudel and Ram Chandra Gautam are the members of the election committee.

However, the party establishment faction has expressed its displeasure over the special general convention being held under the leadership of General Secretary duo Gagan Kumar Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma.
