Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has urged the party establishment to take ownership of the special general convention organized by the party’s supporters of the special general convention.

Organizing a press conference a while ago, NC Special General Convention Publicity Committee Coordinator Subash Pokharel urged the party establishment to take ownership to take the party establishment ahead by uniting it.

“The general convention representatives are the supreme legislators of the NC statute, the party should move ahead by accepting the decision of the special general convention, and take ownership of the special general convention,” he said.

Coordinator of the publicity committee Pokharel said that the party president should resign his responsibility, take ownership of the special general convention and not be a candidate for the president in the upcoming election. He was of the view that the party leadership should not look down on the general convention delegates.

He said the special general convention had helped a lot to strengthen internal democracy. He said that the division in the party would end in the coming days.
