Rasuwa. A total of 32,672 tourists have visited Rasuwa district in the last six months.
Historically and religiously important Gosainkunda area and the beautiful Langtang area are seen in large numbers of tourists.
Senior conservation officer at the Langtang National Park, Shyam Kumar Shah, said a total of 32,671 domestic and foreign tourists visited Gosainkunda and Langtang areas from mid-July to mid-January of the current fiscal year.
Of them, 5,884 were foreigners and 26,787 tourists. This number is expected to reach 50,000 in the current fiscal year. According to the CNP, around 44,000 tourists visited Rasuwa in the last fiscal year.
As per the provision of Rs 3,000 for foreign tourists and Rs 100 for Nepali nationals, park archivist Keshav Dhadari said that the park has collected revenue of Rs 23.9 million in the last six months.
The increase in the number of tourists visiting the Himalayan district Rasuwa which is close to the Kathmandu Valley has increased the hustle and bustle especially in Gosainkunda, Langtang and Syaphrube area, said Babulal Tamang, chairperson of the district-based civil society in the district.
