Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that the attack on people is still going on and there is a need of struggle for justice and democratic rights.

Addressing the 42nd Piskar Martyrs Memorial Day here today and a book titled ‘Struggle within Jail’ published by Saresh Nepal, he said the people would get their rights protesting the attacks. “Today, the CPN-UML has stood as the representative of the people and it will establish the rights of the people,” he said.

Claiming that the reactionaries were aiming to prevent the formation of a Nepali government in Nepal, he said that the main objective of the struggle of the CPN (UML) was to establish a government of Nepali people. “Flames have been hatched in legislature, executive, judiciary and enterprise sectors to shatter the morale of the people wanting to have a government,” he said. ’

Accusing the incumbent government of protecting those looting people’s property, he said the government had played an active role in trying to withdraw the case against Rabi Lamichhane. “Today, there is no rule of law and rule of law, the office of the Attorney General has been tarnished and shamed in history,” he said.

Oli asked the Attorney General who is going to withdraw the case against Rabi Lamichhane, “Who will pay the money for the people’s fraud? Does the Attorney General’s Office pay?” he asked.

He claimed that the UML was not a party of fraud but a party that follows the path of truth and justice. “Some people thought that they would not be able to find UML even after lighting torches, but UML has become an invincible fortress,” he said.

Stating that the UML has been attacked time and again, Oli said that the UML is attacked when the party takes forward development and programs of national importance. According to him, many development projects were implemented when the UML was in power and many projects were in limbo after the ouster of the government.
