Kathmandu. Kathmandu: Offices of the Chief Election Officer and the Returning Officer are being set up in all the 165 constituencies today for the upcoming election to the House of Representatives scheduled for March 4.

Assistant Spokesperson of the Election Commission, Kul Bahadur GC, said that the office of the Chief Election Officer would be set up in the district headquarters and the office of the returning officer in the electoral constituencies outside the district headquarters.

A total of 77 offices of the Chief Election Officer will be set up in the district headquarters and the offices of the returning officers in 88 constituencies of the House of Representatives outside the district.

The office of the Chief Election Officer is headed by the Chief Judge of the District Court, while 77 Chief District Justices have been assigned the responsibility of Chief Returning Officers and 88 second class officers of the judicial service have been assigned the responsibility of the Election Officers.
