Kathmandu. The Supreme Court (SC) has refused to issue an interim order in response to a writ petition filed by Sher Bahadur Deuba demanding that he be made the party president and Gagan Thapa should not be appointed as the party’s president.
The Supreme Court (SC) has refused to issue an interim order on a writ petition filed against the Election Commission’s decision to recognize Gagan Thapa as the president of the second general convention.
A single bench of Justice Sunil Kumar Pokharel refused to issue the interim order today. This has paved the way for Thapa to serve as the party president.
Thapa had not yet entered the party office.
