Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: President of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Chandra Prasad Dhakal, has urged all political parties to give priority to agendas forwarded by the private sector in their election manifestos.

Inaugurating the Nuwakot Festival organized at Bidur of Nuwakot today, he urged the private sector to include issues of priority as the country was full of elections and all political parties were preparing to write election manifestos.

He said, “Development of the country’s economy should be the common agenda of all the parties and for that the parties should give priority to the agenda of the private sector in their election manifestos.” I urge all political parties to give first priority to the agenda of the private sector in their election manifestos.

According to him, the agenda of the private sector should get priority for the economic development of the country through industrial development by creating employment opportunities in the country.

Recalling that the present situation has evolved due to joint efforts of the government and private sector at a time when the country’s economy was in a crisis in the past, Dhakal said the coming days are not so easy and collaboration between the government and private sector was necessary for economic development.

He also suggested that economy should be the common agenda of all no matter which political party has come to power in the country and collaboration with the private sector should be internalized by all.

He stressed on the need for all political parties to develop economic agenda as a common agenda only if there is proper growth in the economic situation of the country.
