Birgunj. Goods worth Rs 48.10 billion were exported to foreign countries through Birgunj in the first six months of the current fiscal year.
Compared to the same period of the last fiscal year, exports worth Rs 16.43 billion were 52 percent or 52 percent.
Nepal had exported goods worth Rs 31.67 billion in the first six months of the last fiscal year. Udaya Singh Bista, information officer at the Birgunj Customs Office, said that exports from Birgunj have increased by 52 percent in the first six months of the current fiscal year.
In the first six months of the current fiscal year, soybean oil worth Rs 25.42 billion has been exported. Fruit juice worth Rs 3.48 billion and sunflower oil worth Rs 3.55 billion were exported to the country.
Similarly, refined palm oil worth Rs 2.25 billion was exported. Similarly, various types of garments worth Rs 1.78 billion were exported.
