Kathmandu. Former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has withdrawn his candidacy from the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 4.
Bhattarai, who had filed his candidacy for Gorkha-2 on behalf of Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party, withdrew his candidacy today.
Bhattarai has already been elected from Gorkha-2. He did not say who he would support if he withdrew his candidacy.
In Gorkha-2, NC’s Prakash Chandra Dawadi, CPN-UML’s Milan Gurung (Milan Chakre), Nepali Communist Party candidate Dr Baburam Bhattarai and Rastriya Samajwadi Party general secretary Kabindra Burlakoti are in the fray.
