Kathmandu. A Land Rover Defender worth Rs 5 crore used by senior Swatantra Party leader Balen Shah during the election campaign is now in the news.

Former Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli is in the race in Jhapa-5.

He is travelling in a Land Rover Defender Top variant vehicle (Bagmati Province 01-033 Cha 4343) during the election campaign.

According to sources, the Land Rover Defender vehicle used by Balen in the election campaign is in the name of Trimurti Industries Pvt Ltd. The founder of the company is Suresh Malpani.
