Kathmandu. Minister for Home Affairs Om Prakash Aryal has said that there is no need to wait for orders to take action against those spreading misinformation through social media.

Reaching the Nepal Police’s Cyber Bureau at Bhotahiti today, he said that the police personnel working there need not wait for orders from higher authorities or bodies to bring those involved in illegal activities under the ambit of book.

Home Minister Aryal instructed the Cyber Bureau to closely monitor the indecent news and misleading news and information that might be circulating through social networking sites in order to hold the upcoming election to the House of Representatives in a dignified manner.

He also stressed the need to take immediate action against those spreading false information. The Home Minister urged the bureau to be more active in view of the elections.
