Kathmandu. The Department of Commerce, Supply and Consumer Protection has slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 on Cartus Enterprises Pvt Ltd.

The department took action against the firm as per the Consumer Protection Act, 2075 BS after finding faulty in course of monitoring. The department had monitored 17 different firms in Kathmandu.

The other 16 have been given corrective instructions. The Department, which has been carrying out corrective campaigns by continuously monitoring the market, has also taken the support of local administration, stakeholders and consumer rights activists.
