Kathmandu. The Election Commission (EC) has sought clarification from Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) leader Shakti Basnet for violating the election code of conduct.
The complaint was filed against Basnet on January 6. A complaint was lodged against Basnet for violating the code of conduct. Immediately after this, the EC said that it has sought an explanation from Basnet.
The EC has sought an explanation as to why action was not taken against Basnet as per the election law. The response has to be submitted within three days.
