Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: NIC ASIA Bank as a part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) has started providing scholarships to meritorious students with disabilities from poor and underprivileged groups of various government and community schools of all seven provinces.

The bank announced the scholarships to 75 students from Grade 6 to Grade 10 from government and community schools outside the Kathmandu Valley.

The bank had invited applications for scholarships representing students of government and community schools in all seven provinces. In the past years, the bank has been providing scholarships to meritorious students of government and community schools and has established libraries in various government and community schools of all seven provinces.

According to the bank, the scholarships provided to meritorious students of government and community schools, poor and disadvantaged groups and people with disabilities would help enhance their educational quality and help in their personality development and continue their studies.
