Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The 45th annual general meeting of the Nepal Management Association (MAN) and the National Management Convention 2026 concluded in Kathmandu on Saturday.

On the occasion, Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut said the role of efficient management was indispensable for the overall development of the country, promotion of good governance and institutional strengthening. He expressed the view that economic and institutional reforms were not possible without effective management.

On the occasion, various prestigious awards were announced and distributed. Similarly, ‘Manager of the Year Award’ was given to Nilesh Man Singh Pradhan. Likewise, the Lifetime Contribution Award was given to former Finance Minister Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada. Similarly, Gaurav Upreti was honored with the Man Citizen Inspiring Award.

KATHMANDU: The election of the 22nd managing committee of the association has concluded. Chief Election Officer Gunaraj Bhatta said that the election committee has been held unopposed.

Hem Kumari Adhikari has been elected the president of the newly elected working committee. Jinendra Dhital and Krishna Prasad Acharya have been elected vice presidents. Isha Kumar Shrestha has been elected as General Secretary and Chunky Chhetri as Treasurer.

Similarly, Madhu Poudel, Buddhi Kumar Malla, Anu Joshi, Baburam Sharma, Arun Kumar Sigdel, Dharma Nanda Awasthi, Krishna Prasad Sharma and Krishna Kumar Bhattarai have been elected as executive members.

Urmila Shrestha (Salt Trading Corporation), Mahesh Sharma Dhakal (Owner of Nepal Investment Mega Bank), Devendra Raman Khanal (Owner of Rastriya Banijya Bank) and Parbat Kumar Karki (Owner of Citizen Investment Trust) have been elected as corporate members of the association.

The convention organized with the objective of making the management profession respectful, professional and effective has taken the debate on contemporary management issues, leadership development, financial innovation and corporate governance to a new height.
