Kathmandu. The Health Insurance Board has directed the health institutions (hospitals) providing the service to claim at the minimum rate rate.

Information Officer of the Board Bikesh Malla said that the Board has directed the health institutions to claim at minimum rate to maintain financial balance and reduce unnecessary claims. The Board has issued a circular to the health institutions today itself and directed them to claim only the rate at which the rate is less for providing medicines and other services.

“If the rate of the hospital is less than that of the Insurance Board, then the claim should be made at the rate of the same hospital,” he said. ”

The board has directed the hospitals to claim lower rates on medical, surgical type, surgical and medical package, laboratory, physiotherapy, radiology and bed charges. Information Officer Malla said that the provision related to low rate claims will be implemented from February 1. Earlier, the board had also appealed to the service seekers not to undergo unnecessary tests.
