Kathmandu. KATHMANDU — The printing of ballot papers has been completed in 100 constituencies of 44 districts for the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for March 4. The ballot papers are being printed at the Janak Education Materials Centre, Bhaktapur.

A total of 12.22 million ballot papers have been printed till Monday, said Assistant Spokesperson of the Election Commission, Kul Bahadur GC. According to the Election Commission, the printing of ballot papers has been completed in Dolpa, Mugu, Jumla, Kalikot, Humla, Jajarkot, Dailekh, Rukum (western part), Salyan, Surkhet, Bajura, Achham, Bajhang, Doti, Dadeldhura, Darchula, Baitadi, Kailali, Kanchanpur and Panchthar.

Similarly, the printing of ballot papers has been completed in Ilam, Tehrathum, Bhojpur, Okhaldhunga, Sunsari, Taplejung, Sankhuwasabha, Solukhumbu, Khotang, Dhankuta, Baglung, Gulmi, Jhapa, Gorkha, Myagdi, Parbat, West of Bardaghat Susta (Nawalparasi), Morang, Udayapur and Mustang.

Ballot paper printing has been completed in 44 districts including Lamjung, Tanahun, Syangja and Bardiya. He said that the ballot papers of various districts where the ballot papers were printed have also been packed. So far, 10,759 ballot boxes have been packed.

The printing of ballot papers for the election to the House of Representatives under the proportional representation system and first-past-the-post election system has begun from January 5 at Janak Education Materials Centre Limited. According to the EC, 1 million 98 thousand 200 sample ballot papers have been printed in the first phase and sent to various districts.

According to the EC, the printing of ballot papers under the proportional representation system has started from January 13 and 20.83 million ballot papers have been printed on January 26. According to the EC, 203,23,000 ballot papers have to be printed for the first-past-the-post election. The printing of ballot papers for the first-past-the-post (FPTP) system has begun from the morning of January 29.
