EC directs to make declaration public by February 13

Kathmandu. The Election Commission (EC) has directed the political parties and candidates to publish their election manifestos by February 14. This directive has been issued as per the decision of the Commission today.

According to a press release issued by EC Joint Secretary and Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, the political parties participating in the election to the House of Representatives on March 4 and the candidates for the first-past-the-post election system have to submit their manifestos in accordance with the Clause 37 of the Election Code of Conduct, 2082.

According to him, the directive was issued as per Clause 57 of the Act Related to Political Parties, 2073 BS for the political parties and candidates to submit the manifesto to the Election Commission and the candidates to the Election Office concerned.
