India hands over 223 vehicles to Nepal

Kathmandu. The Government of India has handed over 223 vehicles to the House of Representatives in the third phase of the election.

Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Nabin Srivastava handed over the vehicles to Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal amidst a ceremony held at the Home Ministry.

Earlier, India had provided 61 vehicles in the first phase and 254 vehicles in the second phase, said Anand Kafle, Joint Secretary and Spokesperson at the Ministry of Home Affairs. The Indian government has also provided 50 vehicles for the Nepal Army. Ambassador Srivastava handed over the vehicle to Ashok Raj Sigdel, Chief of Army Staff (COAS).

Spokesperson Kafle said that some medical equipment to be provided to the Nepal Police has been received while some are in the process of being received.
