Kathmandu. The attraction towards the Nepali Congress (NC) has increased significantly in Nawalparasi (West) as the general election on March 4 is approaching. Hundreds of youths, parents and brothers have joined the NC especially from Bardaghat, Pratappur, Susta and Sarawal areas. This wave of joining the party has further heated up the regional political atmosphere.

Nawalparasi West Region No. NC candidate from constituency-1 and central member Binod Chaudhary welcomed the new members and said that a significant number of people have joined the party in the last one week. He said that people’s trust in the Congress has been changed with the participation of youths from different professions and communities.

According to Chaudhary, this wave has given a big boost to the entire party ranks. “Nepali Congress is the umbrella of every Nepali who is looking for new and innovative thinking. The Congress party has carried the thoughts and voices of every section of the society. Now the time has come to work for the development of the country by making the NC victorious in the elections,” he said.

Political analysts have started linking the entry of the Nepali Congress at the local level with the results of the upcoming elections. Congress supporters, on the other hand, are interpreting it as a sign of public support for the transformed Congress.
