Kathmandu. The Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection has imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on a firm.

The Department has fined Gunjeshwori Trade Link Pvt Ltd, Kasaleshwor after it was found negligent during field monitoring.

The Department has been regularly monitoring the cooking gas and food related businesses and shops in the recent days. Meanwhile, the department has issued corrective directives to five other firms.

It has been regularly monitoring the market with the participation of local administration and consumer rights activists.
