Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: A total of 976 criminal cases were registered in Kathmandu district in the month of January.
Among them, 151 were related to heinous crimes, 22 were related to women, children and senior citizens, 463 were related to economic crimes and 340 were related to other crimes, according to District Police Range Superintendent of Police Pawan Kumar Bhattarai.
Meanwhile, police have arrested 10 persons on the charge of robbing people on motorbikes in Kathmandu by conducting a ‘special operation’.
Police said that 360 people have been arrested and a fine of Rs 22 million has been recovered from them. Likewise, 709 people have been arrested in connection with the case. There are 637 men.
According to police, 149 complaints related to domestic violence and 49 complaints related to domestic violence were registered, while 131 were related to domestic violence and 36 were related to vertical cases.
