Sunsari. Police have arrested two persons in possession of 955 kilograms marijuana from Bardanda of Dharan sub-metropolis-20.

A police team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bhishan Babu Rai of the Area Police Office confiscated the quantity of cannabis while checking two pickup trucks en route to Bishnupaduka of Dharan from Dhankuta last night.

According to District Police Office spokesperson Chandra Khadka, the police confiscated 495 kg from a pickup truck (Bagmati State-01-027 Cha 1143) driven by Sandip Kumar Majhi of Kolbi municipality-8, Bara and 460 kg from a van (BAC 3236) driven by 33-year-old Nagendra Raj Shrestha of Chandragiri municipality-8.

Police have arrested the two along with the vehicles and further investigation into the case is underway.
