Nawalparasi. Nepali Congress (NC) central member and Nawalparasi constituency-1 candidate Binod Chaudhary has said that the time has come for the people to give an account of the works done by the new party.
Stating that he has presented the report card of the works done in this area so far to the people, he said that the work of the new political parties should also be accounted for and they should also be questioned.
Addressing a programme organised by the Nepali Congress at Pratappur rural municipality-9 here today, he claimed that the NC has been changed with its agenda as per the agenda that change should start from itself. “We have made public the account of our work, you should also ask the new party ‘where is the head, where is the tail’,” he said. He argues that he has to change himself before he can change others.
On the occasion, he said that discussions are being held with the industrialists within a few days to create an environment for the establishment of industries for the operation of the industrial village constructed on the banks of Khajura River. He expressed the belief that the compulsion of kidney patients to travel long distances would end with the announcement of dialysis service at Shahid Memorial Hospital, Chaupatta in a few days.
On a different note, Chaudhary said that he has been working closely with the Tharu community since the past and he has understood the honesty of the Tharu community and their problems closely. “I understand the honesty of the Tharu community very well, many of the workers working in my industry are from the Tharu community, so I have understood them closely,” he said.
Chaudhary said that a government led by Gagan Thapa was inevitable by making the Nepali Congress victorious with a huge majority in the upcoming elections as a stable government was needed to continue the development pace and bring change.
