Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress has announced the next five years as the ‘Half Decade of Economic Resurgence’ and has resolved to boost Nepal’s economy to Rs 115 trillion and per capita income to USD 2,500 through second-generation economic reforms.

The NC made this resolution by releasing the affidavit today. For this, a total investment of Rs 137.5 trillion will be mobilized and 80 percent of it will be kept by the private sector, limiting the role of the state to that of a facilitator and impartial regulator.

Similarly, inflation will be controlled within 5 percent and marginal capital production ratio will be maintained at 4.5:1.

The government will focus on three pillars to make Nepal’s economy ‘pro-private’, ‘pro-growth’ and ‘pro-social justice’.

This includes establishing the private sector as the main engine of prosperity and creating policy stability, healthy competition and a ‘pro-private’ environment. At the same time, the government will adopt a ‘pro-growth’ policy to play the role of an efficient regulator for the competitiveness, fairness and fairness of the market and to achieve high, sustainable and broad economic growth that is employment-oriented and ‘production-based’; Where the youth are not just workers but the real partners of ‘wealth creation and entrepreneurship’.

In order to immediately address the policy ambiguities, legal hassles and institutional complexities faced by the various types of industries currently in operation, the one-door system will be made effective to create a hassle-free industry environment.

Similarly, the tax rates and terms will remain stable for at least 10-15 years with a legal guarantee with a ‘stability clause’.
