PM Karki reaches Muktinath and directs officials to make election successful

Kathmandu. Kathmandu, March 4: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has directed the authorities concerned to hold the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 4 in a free, fair, free and fear-free environment.

Addressing discussions and interaction related to elections organized at Nepal Army’s Indra Box Battalion at Jomsom, she urged the bodies concerned to pay special attention to hold the elections in a peaceful manner. On the occasion, Prime Minister Karki directed all to work with full devotion to make the elections successful.

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sushila Karki visited the holy Muktinath Temple at Waragung Mukti Chhetra-1 today. Prime Minister Karki offered prayers at the Muktinath temple after irrigating water from 108 taps at the Muktinath temple.

Baragung Mukti Chhetra Rural Municipality Chairman Rijin Namgel Gurung, Assistant Chief District Officer Ek Narayan Bhandari, Muktinath Development Committee Vice-chair Rijin Namgel Gurung, manager Dinesh Bhusal and village chiefs of Muktinath Ranipouwa welcomed the Bangladeshi President when he was on his way to the temple.

On his way to the temple some 200 meters away along with security personnel and assistants, Prime Minister Karki interacted with the domestic and foreign visitors and tourists.

On the occasion, Waragung Mukti Chhetra Rural Municipality Chair Gurung and Muktinath Development Committee manager Bhusal apprised PM Karki about the problems being faced by the devotees at the Muktinath Temple.

Gurung, vice-chairperson of the Development Committee, said that although the file regarding the project of infrastructure construction in the temple area has been submitted to the Department of Archaeology, it has been delayed for approval.

“We have submitted files to archaeology for eight projects including changing room, reconstruction of 108 taps, NX building and ani housing for visitor-friendly infrastructure at Muktinath temple. “The Prime Minister’s verbal attention has been drawn towards the delay in the approval,” he said.

In response, Prime Minister Karki informed that the government would take stock of the issue with the Director General of the Department of Archaeology and initiate necessary process, said manager of Muktinath Development Committee.
